Position Overview/ Duties

• Prioritize engineering work request to deploy maintenance personnel based upon operational urgency.
• Coordinate facility master planning to align organizational requirements with installation review board objectives.
• Monitor budget expenditures to guarantee resource availability for unforeseen emergency repairs.
• Review architectural blueprints to verify environmental compliance prior to project initiation.
• Investigate workplace accidents to implement corrective measure resolving identified root causes.
• Evaluate internal safety controls to assess organizational compliance against national protection standards.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1.) directing facility engineering operations to execute preventive maintenance programs across large-scale building systems; 2.) overseeing construction projects by developing comprehensive scopes of work associated with cost estimates; 3.) evaluating contractor performance to ensure strict adherence to technical project specifications; AND 4.) administering occupational safety programs to enforce compliance with federal hazard mitigation regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
